Thanks for publishing this issue. I grew up in Ste. Foy, Quebec, my mom was a member of Trinity Church in Ste. Foy's early days (1960's). I & my siblings were raised as Catholics as my father was RC. My mom' s connections with Trinity and its members saved our family. I learned to read the bible from her, which saved my life as a teenager, litterally. I eventually felt called to Interfaith Ministry in the early 1990's, while living in Connecticut/attending a Methodist church -- drawn to the first if not one of the first interfaith seminaries, The New Seminary in New York City. I did not attend the theological part of the seminary, but was ordained as an Interfaith Minister (more of a counsellor) at St. John Divine Cathedral in Manhattan March 1996, as the Bishop there was fully in support of this seminary. For many years, I simply married couples in New England, then in Switzerland, France, Spain when we lived in Switzerland. Now, I've found myself since the end of CoVid, in my early 70's leading services and bridging to other religions. My hope -- that working with all of good intentions becomes more of the normal and bridging to the Christ in the heart of all religions of goodwill. I'm looking forward to the Emergence of the Christ, in more of our hearts, in our Spiritual questing, in our world. And it all began in so many ways with my mom and her Anglican support group in Ste-Foy and in Quebec City. And I say, Thank You! Mom could not fathom why or how I could become a minister -- she did not approve. But I kinda think now, she does understand in her resting time. What God is doing in my 70's is rather unbelieveable, for many reasons...but there She is (Holy Spirit) ...and He is (Beloved Father), and here the Son is, Jesus and all the Friends he brings to me, knowing me to be a rebel who needed not just Jesus. He is rather relentless, this Jesus. I'm at Trinity Community Lutheran Church in Point Roberts, WA ... that exclave surrounded by Canada on the westcoast. Thank you, Sisters for your work and writing.
